Looks real enough to me! OUCH!!
I did the same thing when I sliced the pad of my finger almost completely off. I sort of blinked at the can lid sticking out of my finger, pulled it out, wandered into the kitchen and said "hey, mom, look what I did!". She freaked when she saw my finger, because it was squirting blood everywhere. I was calm as could be.Originally posted by TheUnquietGrave:

mainly because when I sliced the top of my thumb in half, I was just like "fuck, that's gonna bleed!" and "ahhhhh, shiiiiit" alot

yeah, they dont after 4 hours in a waiting room, I couldn't feel shit! but, it was also wrappped in paper towel and masking tape (Im a real goddamn McGyver!)
as for lighting yourself on fire, if it was like, a full body burn, yeah, I'd imagien i'd scream, but, when I lit my middle finger, then hand on fire, I just kinda went "damn! that stings!"
no, id bet thats real. quick pain like that takes a a bit to kick in.
ps- Capt. Jenks (the phoney phone caller) rules!!!
On a full body burn, I always thought you couldn't scream because the fire will consume all of the oxygen (both inside and out).
OHHHHH! That's gunna leave a mark!
And I'd place bets that that's real. I sliced the entire meaty part of the palm of my hand (that area directly below the thumb) with a razor knife while I was cutting sheetrock. I watched the knife go through the skin, watched the skin open and said "oh shit, this is going to get messy, quick" in a calm, collected way. The cut didn't even start bleeding until I got to the bathroom and got some paper towel.

yeah..it was clean-cut. I honestly did not feel it at all. It certainly throbbed quite a bit, but the pain didn't really start until after I'd gone and gotten the stitches put in (a good ten or so hours AFTER the cut happened, because my father finally realized that it was not, in fact, going to stop bleeding on its own).Originally posted by Dajistano?:
